He was an electrical maintenance technician for PPL, Martins Creek, for 35 years before retiring in 1977. Born in «b»Tamaqua«/b», he was a son of the late John and Anna (Gribbon) Allison. He was a member of St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Township. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Union Council 345 and Le-Gen, Allentown. Survivors: Wife; sons, Thomas J. of Palmer Township, Joseph T. of Coopersburg; daughter, Joan M. Weisel of Warminster, Bucks County; twin brother, Charles, and sisters, Louise Shellhammer and Helen Schuetrumpf, all of «b»Tamaqua«/b»; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Edward J. Jr. Services: Mass, 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Call 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday in the church. Arrangements, Curran-Finegan Funeral Home, Wilson.
