1. The Eastlack linage dates back to Samuel Estlake and Margery Pentire, the daughter of Pollidore Pentire and Elizabeth Hockye, who married July 3, 1632, at St. Andrews, Plymouth, Devon, England. (Notice the spelling of Eastlack.) Their son, Francis Estlake, was a Quaker Minister in Devonshire England, Bermuda, and Newton, New Jersey.
2. Francis Estlack was born about 1635 in Plymouth, Devon, England. He became a Quaker Minister in Devonshire England, Bermuda, and Newton New Jersey. He married a lady named Margaret, and their son, Joseph Estlake, was born in Bermuda on September 16, 1674.
3. Joseph Estlack was born September 16, 1874, in Bermuda. He married Ann Powell on March 1, 1698, in Newton Township, New Jersey. Together they ran the family farm in Newton Township. They were the parents of William Estlack.
4. William Estlack was born about 1705 in Newton Township, New Jersey. He married Isabelle Vanneman. They were the parents of William Estlack.
5. William Estlack was born in New Jersey about 1730, and married Mary Diana Shute in Christ Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on August 17, 1763. They joined Moravian Church,Oldmans Creek, Gloucester County, NJ. They were the parents of John Estlack.
6. John Estlack, 1779 – 1855, was born in Woolwich Township, NJ, and married Lydia Paul, 1779 – 1856. The couples had a large farm and were the parents of Samuel Budd Estlack.
7. Samuel Budd Estlack married Anna E Shuster on December 14, 1837 in Gloucester County, New Jersey. They were the parents of Clayton N. Eastlack. They were successful farmers in Woolwich Township, NJ.
8. Clayton N. Eastlack, who was the first to use the present spelling of the family surname, married Maggie Hickman on December 21, 1870, in Clarksboro, New Jersey. They were farmers. Their children were James Lord Eastlack, 1871 – 1944, Anna E Eastlack, 1873 – 1950, Joanna W Eastlack, 1875 – 1907, and Joshua Lord Eastlack, who was born August 21, 1881, in Richwood, Glouchester County, New Jersey.
