      Marie D. Allison formerly of Wilson, passed away November 1, 2009 in ManorCare, Palmer Township. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Allison Sr., who passed away in 2003. Mrs. Allison was employed as a sales associate by Orrs, Horns and Grollmans, all formerly in Easton. Born in «b»Tamaqua«/b», Marie was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Mary (Callahan) DeLay. Marie was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Township. She was a member of LeGen and was a beloved wife and mother.

      Survivors: Children, Thomas J. Allison and his wife, Jane, of Palmer Twp., Joseph T. Allison and his wife, Mim, of Coopersburg, Joan Marie Weisel and her husband, David, of Warminster, Pa. In addition a sister and brother, Katherine Brown of Carneys Point, N.J. and William Delay and his wife, Aldie, of «b»Tamaqua«/b»; 10 Grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Allison was predeceased by a son, Edward J. Allison Jr., who passed in 1958, and two sisters, Esther Schork and Bernadette Roberts.

      Services: A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. in St. Janes Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Twp. A calling hour will be held in the church on Thursday from 9:15-10:15 a.m.

      Interment will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Bethlehem. The Finegan Funeral Home, Easton, is handling arrangements. «u»www.fineganfh.com«/u».

      Edward J. Allison, 91, of Wilson, died May 6 in his home. He was married to Marie («b»DeLay«/b») Allison for
      63 years last June.

      He was an electrical maintenance technician for PPL, Martins Creek, for 35 years before retiring in
      1977.

      Born in «b»Tamaqua«/b», he was a son of the late John and Anna (Gribbon) Allison. He was a member of St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, Palmer Township.
      He was a member of Knights of Columbus Union Council 345 and Le-Gen, Allentown.

      Survivors: Wife; sons, Thomas J. of Palmer Township, Joseph T. of Coopersburg; daughter, Joan M. Weisel of Warminster, Bucks County; twin brother, Charles, and sisters, Louise Shellhammer and Helen Schuetrumpf, all of «b»Tamaqua«/b»; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Edward J. Jr.

      Services: Mass, 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Call 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday in the church. Arrangements, Curran-Finegan Funeral Home, Wilson.
