James and Harriet had six sons, five of who were buried at Beaverdam/Harbeson cemetery. Their six sons were: Willard Mason Carey, Louis James Carey, Charles Edward Carey, Frederick W. Carey, Joseph Henry Carey, Alfred Hopkins Carey.
