      MERIDEN -- Sebastiano (Sibby) D. Barillaro, 64, of 116 Windsor Ave., passed away on Saturday, Oct.
      24, 1998, at home.

      Born in Meriden on May 17, 1934, he was the son of the late Matthew and Angelina Barillaro. Sibby and his brother operated the South Meriden Chevron, at the four corners.

      Besides his wife, Margaret Tardif, he is survived by nine children, Bruce and Sharon Spaulding of Maine, Tony and Barbara Spaulding, and Marge and Lee Cyphers, both of Meriden, Gail and Thomas Navin, Carol and Ken Grano, both of Wallingford, Ann and Mike Pingle, of Michigan; James and Susan Barillaro, Mr.

      and Mrs. Matthew Barillaro, and Sharon Barillaro, all of Fall River, Mass.; four sisters and two brothers- in-law, Rose and Joseph Waz, Carmela Barillaro, and Virginia and Harry Mudry, all of Meriden, and Ellen Pizitto, of Phoenix, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Barillaro.

      Friends and relatives may call on Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Szymaszek-Taylor Funeral Home, 189 E. Main St., Meriden. His burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 127 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT 06473.
