      GUY, Mildred E. (Baesman) age 93, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 27, 2012. Born on March 31, 1918, she lived her whole life in North Dayton and Vandalia, Ohio. A 1936 graduate of Kiser H.S., she married Charles R. Guy in 1939 and helped with the family plumbing business for many years. She was active in St. John's Lutheran Church in Vandalia and the Vandalia Sr. Citizen Center. She was an avid watercolorist and card player. She is preceded in death by her husband; Charles and son, Charles Jr. Treasuring her memory are daughters, Pat Muterspaw (Dick), Jean Palmer (Richard, deceased), Nancy Szkarupa (Al), and Cheryl Caudill (Paul). She has 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Holly James for her loving care of their mother and her grandmother. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends, Friday (TODAY) March 30, 2012 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 122 W.       GUY, Charles R. Age 90, of Vandalia, Ohio passed away Friday, October 20, 2006, at home after a long battle with congestive heart failure.

      Charles was born on October 24, 1916, in old North Dayton, graduating from Kiser H. S. in 1936 where he was all-city in basketball and football.

      He owned and operated the J. R. Guy Plumbing and Electro Sewer Service Plumbing companies for many years before retiring in 1981.

      During WW II Charlie served in the United States Army.

      He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mildred Guy; daughters, Pat (Dick) Muterspaw of Springboro; Jean (Richard) Palmer of Huber Heights; Nancy (Al) Szkarupa of Tipp City; Cheryl (Paul) Caudill of Dayton; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

      He was preceded in death by one son, Charles, Jr., his parents, Joseph & Sophia (Schindler) Guy and his brother, Russell.
