Garon Zahn, 46, Fort Yates, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 24, 2016, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Fort Yates, with The Rev. Canon Zanne Ness officiating. A wake is scheduled for 5:00 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in AJ Agard Building, Fort Yates. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery, Fort Yates.
Garon was born May 14, 1969, at Fort Yates, North Dakota, to Aaron and Gloria (Tuske) Zahn. He was raised and educated in Fort Yates. While in school, he participated in high school rodeo and enjoyed attending rodeos. At age 16, he began working for the Frank 4U Ranch. Thirty-one years later, he was still working for the 4U Ranch owned by Duane and Diane Frank'96whom he called his hunka brother. Garon also went on a three Unity Rides, (Red Lake, Minnesota, Prince Albert, Manitoba, Canada, and Rosebud, South Dakota). He was a cowboy all his life. Everyone that knew him, knew he was always a laughing, generous, and humble person. Garon loved his grandchildren and nieces very much, and will be missed and loved by his family.
Garon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leonard "Butter" Tuske, Marvin Zahn, and Verle Zahn; sister Sharon Alkire; uncle Maynard Tuske; grandparents; and one grandson.

Gloria Frances Tuske, 71, Fort Yates, died April 23, 2004, at a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, with the Rev. Leslie Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery, Fort Yates.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before services.
Gloria was born Nov. 11, 1932, at Fort Yates, N.D., to Charles and Rebecca (Medicine Stone) Tuske. She was raised and educated in Fort Yates and attended UND. She taught at Standing Rock Elementary for 31 years.
Gloria loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo, beading and going to powwows.
She is survived by one son, Garon Zahn, Fort Yates; one sister and brother-in-law, Louella and Gordon DeCory, Rosebud, S.D.; one brother, Lenny Gohl, Mandan; four grandchildren, Kristen Tuske, Porcupine, and Lindsey Tuske, and her fiance, Leslie Ogle, Fort Yates, Adrienne "Shelby" Spotted Elk, Bismarck, and William Kuntz Jr., Selfridge; 11 great-grandchildren, Dayce, Logan and Ashton Tuske, all of Porcupine, Terrell and Jazmine Tuske and Xander and Chase Ogle, all of Fort Yates, Shaylynn, Briann and Shandin Ramsey and Markell Smith, all of Bismarck; a very special friend, George Archambault; numerous nieces and nephews; the Blackhoop family; the DeCory family; the Red Tomahawk family; the Summers family; the Yellow Hammer family; Marge Christianson; and special daughter-in-law, Charlene Vetter.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rebecca Tuske; one son, Leonard "Butter" Tuske; two sisters, Regina Yellow Earrings and Catherine Big Eagle; two brothers, Larry and Maynard; Leonard "Pokey" Tuske; and one great-grandson, Brandon Ramsey.
