      He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy, flying for the Marine Corps as a fighter pilot in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Wally was a retired business owner.

      Surviving are his beloved wife of 30 years Cyndy (Nee West), mother and father-in-law, Iris and Marty Hoag of Vineland, NJ; a brother and sister-in-law David and Elizabeth West of Lower Bank, NJ; nieces and nephews David and Samantha West of Laurel Springs, NJ; Rachel and Brian Lee of Milford, PA and their children, and a 'daughter,' Melissa. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 10 to 11am in the SCHETTER FUNERAL HOME, 304 W. Rt. 70, Cherry Hill, NJ. Funeral service 11am. Burial will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions in Wally's memory be made to the Salvation Army, Camden Citadel 915 Haddon Avenue, Camden, NJ 08103, or to any animal welfare charities.
